1. Ihram from the Miqat & Talbiyah
Perform ghusl, perfume body (not clothes), put on two white unstitched sheets (men) or regular modest clothes (women). Form the intention: 'Labbayka 'Umrah' and continuously recite the Talbiyah.
Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Labbayka La Shareeka Laka Labbayk. Innal-hamda wan-ni'mata laka wal-mulk, la shareeka lak.
2. Tawaf around the Kaaba (7 Circuits)
Start at the Black Stone keeping Kaaba on your left, complete 7 circuits. Men uncover right shoulder (Idtiba') and brisk-walk first 3 rounds (Raml). Pray two rak'ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim and drink Zamzam.
Bismillahi wa Allahu Akbar. Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar (Between Yamani Corner and Black Stone).
3. Sa'i between Safa and Marwa (7 Laps)
Begin at Mount Safa reciting 2:158. Walk from Safa to Marwa (Lap 1), and Marwa to Safa (Lap 2), ending at Marwa after 7 laps. Men jog between the two green light markers.
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.
4. Shaving or Trimming Hair (Tahallul)
Men shave head completely (best) or trim from all sides. Women cut fingertip length (~2cm) from the end of hair. This concludes Umrah and all Ihram restrictions are lifted.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the core pillars of Umrah?
The pillars of Umrah are: (1) Ihram with intention, (2) Tawaf (7 circuits around the Kaaba), (3) Sa'i (7 laps between Safa and Marwa), and (4) Shaving or trimming the hair.
What is the difference between a Pillar (Rukn) and an Obligation (Wajib) in Hajj?
A Pillar (such as Standing at Arafah or Tawaf al-Ifadah) cannot be compensated; missing it voids the Hajj. An Obligation (such as staying at Muzdalifah or Stoning the Jamarat) if missed unintentionally does not invalidate Hajj, but requires offering a sacrificial penalty (Dam) distributed to the poor of Makkah.
